Adjusting Date and Time on Your Computer

While I was working on my previous hub on how to add languages and change locals:

the idea to create a small hub that shows how to change the system date, time and time zone came to mind.

You can start by either right clicking on the clock on the task bar and then select Adjust Date/Time or go to Control Panel and then click on Date and Time as show in (Picture 1)

The Date and Time dialog box opens up and you can then click on Change Date and Time (Pictures 2, 3)

Adjust the time to your heart content and then click on OK and voila, you got yourself a new time and date if you like as well.
If you go back to the original dialog box (Picture 1) then you can change the time zone as well (Picture 4)

If you are running Windows Vista or Windows 7, then you can add additional clocks, it is such a handy feature and I don’t think I would be able to live without it anymore. So working on Windows XP gets more annoying by the day after getting used to working with Vista and 7.

Go to Additional Clocks tab and then add the clocks for the different countries that you like. You can only add two but a very helpful feature. (Picture 5)

While we are on the subject of date and time, a number of time traveling movies came to mind and now I’m in the mood to watch them.

Check out Back to the Future trilogy for some classic 80s movies. Also check out Stargate – the original movie with Kurt Russell. Another one that comes to mind is The Time Machine, now it is not the greatest of movies but you will enjoy it while it lasts.
